The installation method for busbar supports depends on both the type of support being used and the design of the assembly in which it is installed.

Design engineers use a variety of brackets, rails, channels, and mounting systems to securely install busbar supports within an enclosure.

For Termate’s standard MX range, two supports are required per assembly. These supports are designed to clamp onto the support itself rather than directly onto the busbar.

MX supports can accommodate copper busbars up to 25 mm thick as standard. For larger busbars, spacer kits are available, allowing larger conductors to be accommodated without the need to clamp directly onto them. The supports are then secured to a mounting bar using M8 studs.

As installation requirements can vary between products and applications, always refer to the installation guidance for your chosen busbar support.
